These results are often used by secondary schools to determine Year 7 class placements, making it essential for your child to feel confident and well prepared.

When Do Year 6 SATs Take Place?
The Year 6 SATs are national assessments taken by pupils in England, usually during the second week of May. The assessments cover Mathematics and English.

In Maths, pupils sit one Arithmetic paper (30 minutes) and two Reasoning papers (40 minutes each).

The English tests include:
- A Reading comprehension paper (60 minutes)
- A Grammar and Punctuation paper (45 minutes)
- A Spelling test (20 words, administered aurally)
